UPDATE : MARRIOTT’S NICKEL PROJECT
Australian Mines Limited (ASX: AUZ) is pleased to announce another impressive high grade intercept from resource definition diamond drilling at the Marriott’s nickel project, which is 65 km from Leinster in W.A.
(including 2m @ 4.24%Ni and 6m @ 5.18%Ni as coarse blebby and veinlet nickel sulphides)
The latest results are particularly pleasing as AMMD023 contained individual one metre assays of up to 8.5% Ni. Furthermore, the hole was drilled less than 20 metres down dip from AMMD022, which returned 15m true width @ 2.18% Ni from 125m downhole, including 3m @ 3.89% Ni and 3m @ 4.34% Ni as coarse blebby and veinlet sulphides.
Commenting on the latest results Chief Operating Officer, Brett Young said,
“The drilling has indicated we have potentially significant tonnages of high grade ore at Marriott’s which is very encouraging from a mine planning perspective and may lead the company to consider an underground mine option. Additional drilling is warranted as the high grade trend is open both down dip and along strike”.
“We are still receiving assay results from the recently completed 29 hole drill programme, and anticipate to release the final results within the current quarter.”
